With characteristic winsomeness, vocalist and songwriter Melanie Penn returned to Fieldstead & Company to usher in the Advent and Christmas seasons. Using the powerful medium of first-person narrative, Penn gives a voice to each character of the familiar story in the songs from her 2017 album Immanuel. By combining these poignant, reflective songs with rich, traditional carols, Penn invites us to join, with all the saints before us, in following the star with joy and confidence for the event we gather to celebrate.
