Nearly a year after the solemn dedication of the new St. Michael's Abbey and the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, Fieldstead hosted a symposium on-site to celebrate the completion of the abbey library and its decoration, including ten stained-glass windows and eight bronze reliefs by Danish artist Maja Lisa Engelhardt.
This symposium explores the rich tradition of monasteries as guardians and promoters of the arts through visual art, written word, and music.
