Feminism Against Progress with Mary Harrington

In her book Feminism Against Progress , Mary Harrington, a self-described "reactionary feminist," challenges the fundamental assumptions of modern feminism, particularly its alignment with technological and societal "progress". She argues that this pursuit of progress has, in many ways, undermined the well-being of the majority of women, creating new forms of dependence and inequality .   Harrington spoke at a Fieldstead salon and warned against a potential future where technology further commodifies women's bodies, potentially benefiting the wealthy while exploiting the less fortunate. She concluded that only a feminism skeptical of this "progress" can truly defend the interests of most women today.
