The Rising with Melanie Penn

Fieldstead hosted a special spring-time concert with Melanie Penn . T he Rising: A Resurrection Album is a new project by Melanie. The Nashville-based singer/songwriter has written a series of original songs that portray the time between Christ's burial and His ascension, all inspired by the Gospel accounts. Each song is written from the first-person perspective of individuals who were present, such as Peter, Thomas, Mary Magdalene, and others! Melanie was joined on stage by Andrew Osenga (guitar and vocals), Mike Hicks (keys), Philip Sforza (electric bass), and John Arrucci (drums). Joining on the B3 keyboards was Ben Shive who cowrote all of the songs, produced the album, and also produced Immanuel , which many of you know and love. Melanie's album, The Rising , is scheduled to be released summer 2025. This is NOT just an Easter album.  It's a RESURRECTION PROJECT for ANYTIME OF YEAR !  Photos by Eric Stoner
